Calligaris Osaka Table by Stefano Cavazzana

In his studio in Mestre, Stefano Cavazzana works with architecture, design and company graphics. He was awarded with the special mention in “Young and Design” in 1997 and 2001. In 2000, for the objects manufactured by Calligaris, he received the special mention “Young and Design” for the 'Golfo Aranci' table. For each and every work, design or graphic, he seeks the 'idea' for 'simple' and immediate products that last in time. This reflects in a particular way in furniture design, never invasive or gaudy but a functional and elegant presence in which the trace of design must be detected. Table Osaka is available in wenge with tempered coffee color glass.

Calligaris POD Chair is the Winner of "Chair of the Year" Contest

Calligaris chair POD is the winner of annual contest “The Chair of the Year 2007”, organized within the format of Promosedia, a Chair Exhibition, held in Udine, Italy.
The first Chair Exhibition was held in 1977, initiated by some Italian industrialists of the Chair Triangle to encourage the local industry to approach the market directly, under their own names, in contrast to acting as subcontractors to furniture companies. At the same time the Exhibition publicized the specialization of the area.
Since 1984 its organization has been in the hands of Promosedia and has grown from a regional, to a national and then an international exhibition. In fact it is the only international exhibition in the world dedicated to seating and is an event not to be missed for thousands of members of the trade world-wide: buyers, importers, agents, wholesalers, retailers, architects, designers and the media.
The chair "POD" is designed by LUCCI & ORLANDINI, the tandem of two Italian designers. Lucci & Orlandini has taken part to numerous editions of the Triennale of Milan and exhibit design collections at the Museum of Modern Art of New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago, the Museum Für Kunst und Gewerbe of Hamburg along with the Centre Nationl d'Art Contemporain del Louvre of Paris. They have also been included in many international design exhibitions and have received a great number of international awards.
